It's over...warning, Debbie Downer post.

So, I have finally come to terms with the fact that I have to hang these up...

which for those of you that know me, is the hardest thing ever. I've been a runner for 15 years, but unless I want knee-replacement surgery, which they won't do because I'm not even 40, then I have to stop. ): Talk about depressing. Since I've stopped running, I've put on about 10 lbs (OK, really more like 13 lbs after the Holidays), which on my very petite frame looks horrid. I have made a decision to really focus on my eating, as well as finding another workout for me to do. You guys have to give me strenght!

My DT term has also come to an end over at Work in Progress kits. I have loved being on the design team over there. Trish totally knows how to put together an amazing kit, I tell ya. Here are my last 3 contributions with the amazing Jan. kit.

OK, I think that's about it...I'm trying to remind myself that when one door closes, another opens, right? On to 2009...I'm ready!

Great layouts!

And I recommend swimming for excellent exercise that is easy on hurting parts! Thanks!

Amy! I can't relate to wanting to run. I am on the other side and have to find ways to exercise more! But maybe the elliptical machine is an alternative where you can work up a nice sweat, but it is no-impact. definitely my favorite when i actually set foot in a gym. hang in there, sweetie!

i'm sooo sorry about the running! i love putting on my mizunos everyday, too. i'm sorry that you have to stop. i can relate to the love you have for it; it's way more than just exercise for me.

how about the elliptical? i know it's not running, but it will fulfill the 'exercise' requirement. keep your chin up, it is a new year. lovely dt work!

I'm sorry your losing the running, but happy that you will avoid knee replacement - they wouldn't let you run on the new knee either, so I guess stopping was in the future. I'm not a runner, but my husband is, and it is a new hip he will be getting as a result - like as soon as we can get it arranged. That running is hard on the body! Hope you find some other wonderful form of exercise you can enjoy!

Oh gosh, amy, i'm sorry! Coming from someone who absolutely hates running, I was thinking that was actually a good thing, lol ;-) but I can imagine how dissapointing that must be when you have to give up something you truly love. I hope you can find something else you can do that you'll enjoy and won't be so hard on your body. Love your last three projects with WIP - gorgeous!

I'm sorry about the running, sweets. Can you do an eliptical trainer? those aren't supposed to be as hard on the knees. Such a stinker. I know how you love to run, crazy person that you must be, lol.
I can tell you from experience that the door does in fact open. I can't wait to see which one opens for you! :)

Hey coose coose...just checkin in with ya...miss ya!

Sorry about the running thing...clearly i cant empathize with your crazy love for running..i hate doing it. Lifetime fitness has a deep/soft tread treadmill that helps my arthritic knees. What about doing it in the pool?

Cant wait to crop again soon!
