):

Today just sucks!  I had to make a hard decision to leave my job yesterday.  I've been at this school for 5 years, and we got a new director last year, and I just don't agree with the direction she is taking the school.  I couldn't take it anymore, so I left.  I've NEVER quit a job in my life, NEVER!  I spent yesterday crying, so I woke up with puffy eyes and a knot still in my stomach.  I can only hope that my leaving will cause the director to realize what she's doing to the other teachers that remain.  I'm not the first to leave, but I'm hoping to be the last.  My kids went there, so I'm very attached to the school, but I just couldn't continue to watch it go in the direction that it's going.  Now if I could just quit crying.

Here is one of my LO's for Mosh Posh's Jan kit.  I loved all the BG in there, and the embellishments were perfect.  This is about my sweet girl's attempt to try to do locks of love.  We didn't make it this time, but we are planning to try again this summer.

If anyone needs a teacher (my degree is in early childhood) please call me.  I'm just sittin' here waiting...):

It sounds like that was a really tough decision to make. I hope that you find something very soon that you'll enjoy even more.

Your layout is beautiful and it's always so nice to see you sweet face pop up at SC. Sending you ((Hugs))

Amy I just wanted to share that I have been where you are....About 18 months ago I quit a job for the first time in my life.....it was sucking the life out of me and the disrespect was incredible....I took 6 months to regroup and now have the best job of my life......
It was so difficult to get to this point, I cried many tears as well....I just know everything will work out for you as well. Good luck...

I am a teacher too. When you don't have good leadership EVERYTHING suffers. Hang in there, something will come along that is meant just for you!!

Oh, I'm so sorry! I know this feeling. It's SO hard to leave a job you love! Well, a new thing is going to come along and knock your socks off because it will be so wonderful! :-) Hang in there, Lovely!

And I think your daughter will look BEAUTIFUL with short hair! Also... Pantene has a donating hair program (for people with cancer, as opposed to Locks of Love), and I think it's less hair you need to donate! Maybe she'd want to look into that instead!

Great layout! :-)

Sending good vibes your way. You know, if one door closes, there's a good chance another one will open and who knows what's behind it... hang in there!

join the club of unemployed teachers! That stinks that the director wouldn't listen to the teachers who have been there. Good luck with the job search.

That is so difficult. I, like many others, have been in a similar spot and it is SO hard. Especially when you care for the kids. :( Good luck with everything!!

Very sad that the job ended so badly! Hope you get some cheering up soon! And I really respect you for taking a stand about what you believe is right and the standards you are willing to live with. It takes courage to do that.

I'm so sorry to hear about your job. It sounds like you made the right decision as hard as it was. I hope it benefits others in the long run. Good luck finding a new job, until then those of us who are at work who would love to be home creating will enjoy the many layouts and cards to come.
